Russia Pro (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates russiapro.org. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our service.

Information from Google Sign-In
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google profile identifier. We only request the email and profile scopes. We do not access your contacts, calendar, drive, or any other Google services.
Information You Provide
You may configure feed preferences (selected sources, topics, document types, and profiles) and notification rules. This data is stored in your account.
Information Collected Automatically
We use essential first-party cookies for authentication session management. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may collect standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and timestamps.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your account
- To personalize your feed based on your saved preferences
- To deliver notifications based on your configured rules
- To authenticate your identity via Google OAuth
- To improve the service
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.
4. How We Store and Protect Your Information
Account data is stored in a hosted PostgreSQL database provided by Supabase. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication is managed with secure session tokens. Database access is restricted via row-level security policies.
5. Cookies
We use essential first-party cookies for authentication session management only. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent sign-in functionality.
6. Third-Party Services
- Google — OAuth sign-in provider. We do not send your usage data to Google.
- Supabase — Database and authentication hosting. See Supabase Privacy Policy.
- Vercel — Application hosting. See Vercel Privacy Policy.
- Anthropic — AI translation processing. Your personal data is not sent to Anthropic. Only government publication content is processed for translation.
7. Google API Services User Data Policy
Russia Pro's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only use Google user data (name, email) for authentication and account identification. We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the service, and we do not use it for advertising.
8. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect our rights.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Account data is retained while your account is active. You may request account deletion by contacting us at the email below. Upon deletion, your personal data is removed. Public government document content is retained as it is not personal data.

You have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct or update your information at any time
- Request deletion of your account and personal data
For California residents (CCPA): you have the right to know what data is collected, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of sale. We do not sell personal data.
For EU residents (GDPR): you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection.
11. Children's Privacy
The service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
12. International Data Transfers
Data may be processed in the United States. By using the service, you consent to this transfer.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on the site.
